YoP 2014-15 List (a week late)

So my list is getting posted a week late but....
I didn't take part in last year's YoP but I'm back for 2014-15! We're expecting our second little girl in September so here's the rundown of what I hope to accomplish over the next year (starting July 1, 2014) as I adjust to stay at home life with two girls :)

1. Continue knitting at least ONE pair of socks per month

2. Make at least FIVE things off my current Ravelry queue (items 1-120) and try not to add to my queue more!

3. Make at least FIVE things from one of the many knitting/crocheting books I own that I haven't had a chance to go through yet.

4. Finish at least TWO of my current larger wips.

5. Make both girls Christmas stockings this year (and hopefully finish ones for my husband and I as well)

My goal for July though is to finish up a TON of baby gifts I have to make for friends! Most have to be done by August 1st because that's when the Mom's group that I'm a part of is having a baby shower for several us that are expecting! Here's THAT list! If you're a fan of FreshStitches, you'll be a fan of this list ;)

1. Stretch the Giraffe
2. Vera the Ladybug
3. Kepler the Lion
4. M. Richard the Whale
5. Jonathan the Bumblebee
6. Nelson the Owl

Just a short and sweet update of my list this week! I'll have plenty of finished baby gifts to show off next week! :)

  1. Love baby items. Yours are all so cute too. The list looks pretty doable depending on how much time the little ones take naps. But you can take your projects to the parks and other places when the wee ones are playing too.

    1. Thanks! I'll be doing a lot of crocheting/knitting at the park and after bedtime since my almost 3 year old has decided that naps just aren't cool anymore :).

  2. How completely adorable are all those cute baby gifts, oh my so cute. Your list is looking great, lots of different elements and interest to keep you going if you hit a mid year slump and yet you've allowed space to chop and change things.

    1. Thanks! I tried to modify it a ton from the first year I participated when I was WAY to specific about things! Hopefully this gives me more flexibility in choice of projects!

  5. Oh wow, thats a great list. I love that you have Christmas stockings on your list because I have been wanting to make my boys one each for several years... it never happens because I forget in January when it all gets packed away in the loft and only remember in December when it all comes out again, by which time things are too manic!!

    1. I have the pattern and yarn picked out for the stockings so that's a start, right? Don't worry, I'm sure I'll remember I planned on making them when December comes around :-P. I really should cast them on now so they're at least staring at me!

  6. I may steal your idea of making things out of books. I have several books and have only made projects out of one or two of them...maybe. Fantastic looking list.

    1. Definitely do it! I was inspired by a podcast that did a "library along" to work from patterns you already own (either digitally or in print) and thought it was a great idea!
