YoP Round 2: 8/12/12 Update

So now that the Ravellenics are coming to a close (Yes, that's why I was quiet last week), I've got some FO's relating to my YoP page to show off! My Paintbox Frog was put on hold over the games so I'll be back to him shortly but until then, enjoy these!

My Ruffles & Buttons Cowl, designed by Lisa Gentry

M. Richard the Whale, designed by Stacey Trock, available free here

Frankie the Lobster, designed by Stacey Trock
This pattern was available FREE in the amigurumi calendar on crochetme.com from Aug 1-7. I was waiting and waiting and waiting for what seemed like forever and snatched it up as soon as it was available! You can still grab the remaining patterns during the first week of each month but you can also buy the calendar if you missed the previous ones.

Finally, my most prized amigurumi so far on my list:

Petey the Pufferfish, designed by ME!! That's right, I cracked and started dipping into designing :)
He's too cute to leave my house though so this one won't be sold or gifted. Kind of like people who frame their first dollar they make when they start a business? He's the first of his kind in my designer world!

  1. Love the cowl and the whale and lobster are just so cute but nothing compared to Petey the Pufferfish, I love him and your right you can't possibly give him away. I hope you design lots more.

  2. I think I need to learn to crochet...so I can make a puffer fish!

I think I still have my first official design but my second one went out as a White Elephant gift at Christmas a few years ago...but I've tweaked that pattern since I first made it and I need to make a second one using the tweaked pattern. Maybe that one I'll keep...

    Anyway, things are lovely :)

  3. Great pics, love the amigurumi, the lobster is gorgeous, love the cute pincers....wow, your pufferfish is brilliant....don't know about having to download from other places you could make all your own designs from now on....I have a few ideas, but I'm rubbish at writing things down, so once something's made and it's good, I can't remember how I did it...I think I could do with a scribe! Keep at it, and by this time next year you could be a millionaire!

    1. I have most of it written down but I have to write it down in terms that everyone else understands, not just me :-P

    1. Um you ended up with a pretty awesome wingspan didn't you? Haha know how my first attempt at one of those went? I got a few "wings" on, messed it up and never picked it up again. Plus it can't compare to yours now that I've seen it haha

  9. The cowl and all your amigurumi are SO cute--Petey is fantastic!!! Will you be releasing a pattern for him?

I know where you're coming from about giving away "firsts"--I very rarely do that (almost never, actually).

Also, what a pretty kitty! :)
